Christina Kim is a ceramicist based in London, UK. With a wide range of work, Christina makes all kinds of shapes, forms, and sizes from bee size tiny to child size big. While some of her pieces are outright functional or decorative, Christina likes to play with the idea of hidden functionality in decorative pieces like her pineapple ashtray. With an unexpected character to each piece, "playful surprise" is a common theme found across Christina's work. Recently, Christina has been focusing on developing her own crystalline glazes, opening up another world of organic beauty.
